Salary statistics

They win projects worth millions – but what do they earn themselves?

We often meet Danish proposal professionals who want to better understand their market value, but do not know where to begin. That is why we are running our salary survey again this year. Share your input, and we will turn the results into a salary statistics report for the Danish proposal industry.

Why are we creating a salary statistics report for Danish proposal professionals?

Many industries have access to salary data and collective agreements. But for those of you working with proposals in Denmark, one essential thing is still missing: a benchmark.

At Orbit Online, we see that many Danish proposal professionals are navigating in the dark. We want to change that – and give you a tool to help you negotiate better, speak more openly, and build stronger conditions across the industry.

Salary statistics

Why you should take part

Get a benchmark

Gain insight into what others with similar responsibilities and experience earn. It gives you a reference point to compare yourself to – and helps you stand stronger. When you know the market, you know your worth.

Strengthen your negotiations

Use the data as a foundation in salary discussions or when changing roles. You are no longer negotiating based on gut feeling, but on insight. That makes you more confident – and more effective.

Contribute to the community

Your anonymised input helps move the entire industry forward. The more transparency we create, the better conversations we can have. That is how we raise salaries, professionalism, and working conditions – together.

Highlight your professional value

When we talk openly about pay and conditions, the importance of your role becomes clear. It strengthens both the recognition of proposal work and your own professional standing.

Help us create transparency

The survey is completely anonymous and takes just 3 minutes to complete.
(Please note: this survey is intended for employees based in Denmark.)

We ask about:
– Industry and role
– Experience and level of responsibility
– Weekly working hours
– Salary and employment terms

Salary is still a taboo subject – but it does not have to be.

By taking the survey – and by discussing it with your colleagues – you are helping to create a fairer, more professional industry.

Last year’s results – explore our interactive salary survey

This is Orbit’s first salary survey among proposal professionals, and we are proud to share the patterns emerging from the data. We hope the survey prompts reflection on pay, terms and conditions, and value. Perhaps it sparks a new ambition, a salary conversation, or an important discussion with a colleague. One thing is clear: we need to talk to each other more.

The dataset is relatively small, so it should be interpreted with care. Even so, the survey offers valuable perspectives – and we hope you will explore the figures in our interactive dashboard (available in Danish), where you can adjust the parameters yourself.
